Stella definitely didn’t disappoint like some other designers did. I’m looking at you, Marc Jacobs. I love everything. The use of what I like to call the ‘M.C. Hammer’ pants, the subtle bows, menswear touches (blazers & vests, yes!) and the background in all of the pictures-Jefferson Market Garden in New York City. The greenery is so refreshing.
I also adore the shoes in the second image. My mother wouldn’t allow me to wear heels..”You’re defying me, Alexandra!”, but I can dream. The pattern in the first image is also pretty awesome as well; I just wish I knew what it was. Sailboats? Birds? Floating bits of paper? Enlighten me if you know!
What’s your favorite Resort collection so far?

Stella McCartney isn’t exactly my style, but I can see why many would enjoy her collection.
My favorite resort 08 was Zac Posen, and my favorite for 09 was Valentino. Ahah. Now you’ve inspired me to blog about resort collections. xD

Linda – Go for it! I loved 3.1 Phillip Lim for 2008, and of course Stella McCartney for 2009–at least for now. Zac Posen & Valentino were very good as well.
Thanks for the comment!

Belle – The M.C. Hammer ones or the cropped, grey ones? I’d love to see someone incorporate those into an outfit!

STYLE AND THE CITY – PARIS

Style and the City – I do like people more when they smile & laugh, I love being around happiness! To answer your question, I must say that the Parisian women are very stylish from the photos I’ve seen. They can take basics and make them look amazing.

I have to admit that I really don’t pay attention to resort shows, but those second and third looks are stunning.

So creative without being out there, and the first is sheer perfection. I want to go fold origami right now!

The first and second aren’t my cup of tea, but I love the top on the third.
Does anyone else notice how gastly thin the first girl is? At first I didn’t even notice the clothes.

Mary – Oh, so it’s origami. I get it now~
Kayheart – She is very thin! To be honest, I didn’t notice at first, but now that you point it out..
